THE METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING SOFTWARE RELATED TO TV SYSTEM, THE APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

A method and a device for transceiving software related to operation of a TV system are provided to minimize time needed for completing download even though incompletely downloaded DDB(Download Data Block) data occurs while receiving the software related to the operation of the TV system through an OTA(Over-The-Air) mode. A tuner(501) receives DDB data having a predetermined PID(Packet ID) value and a parser parses the DDB data. An MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) decoder(506) determines whether the DDB data of a non-received block number is found from the parsed DDB data. A reader searches the PID value transmitting the same DDB data as the non-received DDB data among a plurality of PID values and reads the PID value receiving first the DDB data of the non-received block number among the searched PID values when the DDB data of the non-received block number is found. A controller(508) performs control for receiving the DDB data of the non-received block number among the DDB data having the read PID value.
