A method for recording data of an optical disc is provided to improve recording quality by recording data with laser power similar to start recording power by deciding start recording power for a succeeding recording layer by giving a weight value reflecting a difference in recording sensitivity for the optical disc. A method for recording data of an optical disc includes a step of recording data in a preceding recording layer; a step of deciding start recording power for a succeeding recording layer by giving a weight value reflecting a difference in recording sensitivity of the optical disc to OPC(Optimum Power Calibration) recording power of the succeeding recording layer to record data in the succeeding recording layer(514); and a step of recording data in the succeeding recording layer by irradiating laser power similar to the start recording power of the succeeding recording layer(518).
