<p>The invention relates to a sliding device (20) for a fifth wheel coupling (30), which comprises two guide rails (14) mounted on a vehicle in the longitudinal direction thereof and a slide (31) which can be displaced on the guide rails (14).A locking device (21) mounted on said slide can be brought into an open position and a locked position by means of an actuator (22). In order to improve handling of the sliding device, at least one locking sensor (S1) for detecting the locked position is provided.
