A method for confirming a recording state of a digital broadcasting receiver is provided to allow a user to confirm the recording state progressed together during the certain operation of the digital broadcasting receiver. A microcomputer reads a sub-image from a formed file during recording(S11,S13). The microcomputer confirms service information about a recording program(S15). The microcomputer reconfigures recording state confirmation information by using the sub-image and the service information(S17). The microcomputer displays the reconfigured recording state confirmation information on a screen(S17).
