An electromagnetic contact device using a cylinder device is provided to release a contact state between terminals by enabling a connector driven by an electromagnet, to open a suction valve of a cylinder. An electromagnetic contact device includes a movable terminal(112), a stationary terminal(122), and an electromagnet driver. A cylinder device includes a piston(130) and a cylinder(140). The piston is driven by the movable terminal. When the terminals are contacted with each other, the cylinder is completely inserted into the cylinder. A valve adjusting unit adjusts a pressure inside the cylinder. The valve adjusting unit maintains or releases a contact state between the terminals by using the inner pressure of the cylinder.
