A recording medium, a recording method thereof, and a device thereof are provided to protect data from a defect in a recording medium with multiple recording layers by recording dummy data at the same position as the defect. A recording method of a recording medium includes a step of recording dummy data at the same position as a defect for at least one recording layer except recording layers with a defect area when the defect area is formed at least one of multiple recording layers; and a step of recording second defect management information on the area where the dummy data is recorded, in a management area. Data recorded in a first defect cluster(201) which is a defective area of a 2-1 part and a second defect cluster(215) which is a defective area of a 2-2 part are recorded in a first area(203) of an L0 spare zone(ISA) and a second area(217) of an L1 spare zone(OSA) by linear replacement as the first and second defect clusters are formed when recording data in a data area of a disc.
