Two parallel shafts (2) having respective inputs from pedal sets are interlinked by respective cogs (3) at both ends of the shafts so that they rotate in opposite directions. One shaft (2) has an extension (6) to deliver driving power to a wheel via a large sprocket (7). Each shaft (2) has one or more toothed sprockets (4) accepting a chain driven by a given pedal set.
