The test tape unit i.e. tape cartridge (10), has an analytic test tape (12), and a supply reel (14) for unwinding the unconsumed test tape. A winding reel (18) winds the consumed test tape, and a tape guide (16) is provided for exposition of a test tape section (20) at a measuring point (22) for an application of body fluid. The tape guide has a flat supporting frame (24), which clamps the test tape section at the measuring point such that a measuring opening (32) is limited with frame side pieces for an optical measurement. |
