A device and a method for displaying a media information screen of a CDC(Compact Disc Changer) for a vehicle are provided to improve user convenience by displaying media information about a changed disc on a screen automatically. A device for displaying a media information screen of a CDC for a vehicle comprises a CDC deck unit(16), a memory unit(18), a screen display unit(14), and a control unit(10). The CDC deck unit loads compact discs and outputs audio data to a speaker with changing the compact discs. The memory unit stores a compact disc number to be reproduced which is reserved by a user. The screen display unit displays media information on the compact disc. The control unit controls the CDC deck unit to change the compact discs on the basis of the disc number stored in the memory unit, and controls the screen display unit to display the media information on the compact disc when changing the compact discs. A method of the device includes a step of detecting whether the applicable compact disc is play-finished; a step of sensing another reserved compact disc, if the applicable compact disc is play-finished; and a step of reading the media information on the applicable compact disc as the reserved compact disc is presented and displaying the media information on the screen.
