<p>PURPOSE: A circuit for protecting arcing of a high voltage power amplifier is provided to minimize an effect acted on a high voltage supply device and a traveling wave pipe by inputting a fault signal to a power converter through a signal pass section and making an RC time constant of the power converter more short. CONSTITUTION: A comparator(41) compares an input fault signal with a reference signal. The first fault sensing circuit(42) generates and outputs a shut down signal based on the first fault signal from the comparator(41). An inverter(43) inverts the shut down signal from the fault sensing circuit(42). The second fault sensing circuit(37) senses the shut down signal from the first fault sensing circuit(42). A status indicator(40) includes a pass circuit(100). The pass circuit(100) is connected to the first fault sensing circuit(42) in parallel, and passes a fault signal from the comparator(41) to the inverter(43). A power converter(32) includes a time constant compensating resistor(R30). The time constant compensating resistor(R30) is connected to a noise eliminating circuit(38) in parallel, and shortens an RC time constant of the noise eliminating circuit(38).</p> |
