Actuated preparatory folding flap

The folding flaps cylinder (1) has a folding flap pair (2) arranged at the circumference of the folding flaps cylinder. The folding flaps pair has a leading folding flap (3) and a subsequent folding flap (4) for retaining a print product by a folding blade cylinder. The leading folding flap is moved depending on the rotating position of the folding flaps cylinder, relative to the folding flaps cylinder. The leading folding flap is fastened over a mounting plate to a rotary supported spindle (5). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a folding machine for the printing machine (2) a folding cartridge for installation in a folding flaps cylinder.
