Hybrid polymer materials through copolymerisation

Preparation of hybrid polymer from at least a (meth)acrylate-monomer and at least a (meth)acrylate-alkoxysilane-monomer comprises a combination of a radical copolymerization of the acrylate functionality and a hydrolytic condensation of the silane functionality. Independent claims are included for: (1) the hybrid polymer obtained by the above method; and (2) a coating- or molded body comprising the hybrid polymer.
