Hair growth stimulants are provided to inhibit side effects and toxicity, reduce the therapy time period, maintain growing hairs by increasing blood flow amount and improving blood circulation in the scalp, and promote regrowth of interphase hairs. A hair growth stimulant comprises carbonized chestnut burs and vegetable oil in a weight ratio of 1:1-3, wherein the vegetable oil is rice bran oil or mixture oil prepared by mixing rice bran oil with at least one oil selected from sesame oil, perilla oil, palm oil, castor oil, bean oil and seed oil. The rice bran oil is prepared by passing rice bran through a carbonizing furnace of 75-350 deg.C, recovering volatile effluents at 100-300 deg.C, and recovering them in a cooling column of 50-75 deg.C and the carbonized chestnut burs are prepared by heating dried chestnut burs at 100-300 deg.C until they are completely burned and filtering the burned chestnut burs with a 180-250 mesh sieve.
