A method for inputting characters with a PC keyboard and a software keyboard is provided to realize a key layout easily to find the desired character, reduce the number of inputted keys remarkably, input the character with one finger, and input an English word not knowing all spells conveniently and quickly by using the PC keyboard and the software keyboard assigning the characters to each key. A first key includes the desired character to be inputted in the keyboard layout assigning a basic character and a second character to each key in the same mode. A second key inputs the second character displayed in a left upper part of the key when the key placed to the right side of the first key. The character combined with an 'i' vowel and the character having a double vowel are input when the key including the desired consonant and vowel key, and the key placed to the right side of the key are pushed at the same time.
