A container for collecting and transporting special waste, in particular hospital waste, comprises a closable outer box made of cardboard, an insert made of cardboard, which can be placed in the outer box, and a liner of plastic material, which is positioned between the outer box and the inner box. The insert is constructed as an inner box formed of a waterproof, solid cardboard. The inner box comprises a closed bottom and upright side walls having inwardly extending end flaps that bound a filling opening. The liner of plastic material is a foil which is provided on the bottom, the side walls and the end flaps of the inner box with a close fit. The foil on the end flaps is provided with an adhesive. The filling opening can be closed by means of a closing flap of a waterproof, solid cardboard which can be sealingly attached to the adhesive. <IMAGE> |
