<p>A capping slab (10) for chimneys (22) is cast from a fiber-reinforced fine cement composition. The composition is made up of: a binder comprising granulated cinder and Portland cement clinker; quartz sand with a particle size of 0.1-0.5 mm; fibers which partly or wholly consist of alkali-resistant glass fibers with a length of 0.5-7 mm; a superplasticizer; and water. An independent claim is included for the production of slabs by casting a composition as above, ensuring that the mold remains stationary while the composition sets.</p> |
