SAFETY KIT FOR SECONDARY BATTERY

A safety member for a secondary battery is provided to improve safety of a battery by preventing an internal short circuit causable upon falling of a battery and an internal short circuit causable by pressure or penetration of a sharp material. A safety member(500) for a secondary battery consists of a pair of sheet-like safety members which adhere to both surfaces of an electrode assembly for a secondary battery. Each safety member comprises a metal sheet(sheet A) to be electrically connected to a positive electrode terminal, a metal sheet(sheet B) to be electrically connected to a negative electrode terminal, and an insulating sheet(530) interposed between the two metal sheets. One metal sheet(sheet A or B) of one safety member is connected to one metal sheet(sheet A or B) of the other safety member at the lower parts thereof. The lower connection part(511) is formed narrower than the metal sheet. Both lower corners(512) of the mutually connected metal sheet(sheet A or B, 510) are relatively larger than both lower corners(522) of the separated metal sheet(sheet B or A, 520).
