A box for controlling short time electric lamp switches of an apartment house is provided to prevent power from being consumed unnecessarily since electric lamps are turned off automatically after a predetermined time without turning off the switches. A short time electric lamp switch(SW) of an apartment house includes a case(100), first and second terminals(200,300), and a button(400). The case is laid on a wall(W). The first and second terminals control the power supply to a lamp by being installed in the case, electrically connected to the lamp, and detached reciprocally. The button detaches the first and second terminals by a user's control by being fixed to the second terminal and fixed to the case rotatably by the medium of a rotation axis(a). A plurality of short time electric lamp switches are connected in parallel to each other and control the power supply to one lamp. The second terminal is a bimetal which is transformed by resistance heat generated in conduction and spaced from the first terminal.
