摘要 <p>The method involves operating a set of cylinders with a high fuel to air ratio, and adjusting the fuel to air ratio and/or a load of the cylinders independent from another set of cylinders. The combustion in each cylinder of the former set of cylinders is adapted to the adjusted ratio and/or load and is optimized for the adjusted ratio and/or load. An indicated medium pressure is held during the measures to increase an exhaust gas temperature. The latter set of cylinders is operated with a low fuel to air ratio. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for determining loading conditions of a particle filter of an internal combustion engine with a particle sensor (2) a device for determining loading conditions of a particle filter of an internal combustion engine.</p>
