A walking assisting device is provided to secure an upward controlling function of a load transfer member even in a stretched state of a leg link, to configure the leg link in such a manner that it is stretched also in an upright stretched state of a user's leg, and to allow him/her not to feel displeasure. A walking assisting device includes: a load transfer member(1); a foot mount(2), in which a user's foot is rested; a leg link(5), having a first upper link part(6) which is connected through a first joint part(3) with the load transfer member, a second lower link part(7) which is connected through a second joint part(4) with the foot mount, and a third intermediate joint part(8) which connects the first and second link parts with each other in such a manner that the both link parts are folded to or unfolded from each other freely, as well as a driving source(9) which drives the third joint part; and an engaging mechanism(11), expanding or contracting a flexible link according to increase or decrease of a bending angle of the third joint part, wherein the flexible link is configured by means of at least one of the first and second link parts. |
