A device for detecting a level of melted liquid is provided to improve hot water supply performance by controlling an automatic hot water supply system effectively by detecting the level of the melted liquid which is in a heating furnace for casting, by using ultrasonic waves in a non-contact method. A device for detecting a level of melted liquid comprises an ultrasonic sensor(100), a cooling cartridge(200), and an insulating block(300). The ultrasonic sensor is positioned at an upper part of a heating furnace which contains the melted liquid for casting. The ultrasonic sensor detects the level of the melted liquid by a mutual distance by oscillating ultrasonic waves to a lower part. The cooling cartridge keeps the ultrasonic sensor inside. The cooling cartridge includes a cooling line(210) and an air supply hole(220). The cooling line is reclaimed spirally to cover an outer periphery of the ultrasonic sensor. The air supply hole is positioned at one surface of the cooling cartridge to be connected with the cooling line. The insulating block is formed by a material whose thermal conductivity is low. The cooling cartridge is supported and placed at the insulating block.
