A method of manufacturing a butterfly valve is provided to keep air tightness by not using a sealing unit, and to improve durability. A method of manufacturing a butterfly valve controls flow rate of fluid flowing in a pipe by rotating a disc combined in the valve. The method comprises the steps of: mechanically processing a valve body including a disc sheet contacted with the disc and a projected plate, mechanically processing a cylindrical shaft, mechanically processing a disc including a boss projected from the middle thereof, combining the shaft to a space part formed in the boss of the disc, determining a fixation position of the shaft so that the disc is contacted to the disc sheet of the valve body, fixing the disc to the shaft by pressurizing the outer circumference surface of the shaft with a reinforcing bolt, and forming a pin hole in the shaft and the disc through drilling and combining a fixing pin in the pin hole.
