A mortise lock has a rotating lock nut linked to a drive. Both the nut linkage, and the associated top and bottom pushrod release levers, operate as swivel levers. The initial zero point is commensurate with the lock nut neutral point so that the pressure elements are presented at the back end of the mandrel. |
