The present invention relates to a joint structure for an FRP roofing member wherein two or more FRP sandwich structures are butt joined, an FRP connecting layer extends across the surfaces of both ends of the sandwich structures, and a layer containing a resin distribution medium is provided between the abutting end faces. The present invention also relates to a method for joining FRP roofing members. In accordance with the FRP roofing member joint construction of the present invention, the problems associated with conventional joint structures can be completely overcome, and the ends of the sandwich structures can be easily, firmly and cheaply joined together. As well as ensuring high joint strength and rigidity, an excellent appearance can be achieved.
