摘要 An optical filter with variable bandwidth and extinction ratio using a micro-ring resonator is provided to control the band pass characteristics of the optical filter by applying a current to a variable voltage unit formed on both ends of an open loop of an electrode pattern. A first waveguide(100) has an input port(110) receiving an optical signal to transfer the optical signal and a pass port(120) passing the optical signal. A first ring resonator(200) is formed as a closed loop by being separated from the bottom of the first waveguide, and operates as a band pass filter by being coupled with the first waveguide. A second waveguide(300) has an additional port(330) receiving an additional signal and an output port(340) outputting a signal, and is formed in parallel with the first waveguide. A second ring resonator(400) is formed as a closed loop by being separated from the bottom of the second waveguide, and operates as a band stop filter by being coupled with the second waveguide. An electrode pattern(500) is formed as an open loop on the top of the second ring resonator, and has a variable voltage unit(510) controlling a current by connecting both ends of the open loop.
