A clutch device of a cylindrical lever lock is provided to reduce the number of parts and to operate the device smoothly with less friction resistance by rotating only a catching device and stopping the motion of a small spindle while a spindle is rotated through an external lever. A clutch device of a cylindrical lever lock comprises a catching groove(6a), a catching projection(10a), a supporting device, and a catching device(16). The catching groove is formed to one front side of an external spindle(6). The catching projection is configured to an inlet of a small spindle(10). The supporting device is elastically installed in the small spindle by a spring, and assembled with a pole(8) through a connecting hole(14a) of a long connecting piece(14b). The catching device has a long connecting groove(16c) connected with the catching groove, and a guiding groove(16d) connected with the catching projection.
