A backlight unit and a display device using the same are provided to increase quantity of reflected light by providing a reflection sheet between light emitting diodes. At least one light emitting diode(115) is mounted on a substrate. A bottom cover(101) includes the mounted therein. A reflection sheet(120) is provided on the substrate and between the light emitting diodes. The light emitting diode each includes red/green/blue light emitting diode chips. The light emitting diodes are arranged in at least one row on the substrate. The light emitting diodes are arranged in at least two rows on the substrate, and are disposed in the zigzag form. The reflection sheet includes a diode insertion hole(121) which each light emitting diode is inserted in or protruded from, and a circumference of the diode insertion hole is formed as an inclined surface.
