A method of checking a residual quantity of a liquid of a dispenser is provided to need no additional member of checking a residual quantity of a liquid by using pressure data measured in supplying gas into a syringe by a constant pressure supplying member that provides discharge power to a liquid. In step (a), a gas having a constant pressure is supplied to a syringe fully filled with a liquid and an empty syringe without a liquid, and a gas pressure is checked according to the elapsed time until the pressure reaches a target pressure. Here, the time taken to reach a reference pressure from a set start point is measured. In step (b), a gas having the same pressure as step (a) is supplied to a syringe that is a target for checking a residual quantity of a liquid, and a gas pressure is checked according to the elapsed time until the pressure reaches a target pressure. Here, the time taken to reach a reference pressure from the same set start point as step (a) is measured. In step (c), a residual quantity is calculated by comparing the time measured in step (b) with the time measured for the full syringe and the empty syringe in step (a). The residual quantity(RQ) of a liquid in step (c) is calculated by the following equation. RQ = {(ET-CT)} / {(ET-FT)} X TQ where, ET represents the time measured for the empty syringe, FT is the time measured for the full syringe, CT is the time measured for the target syringe, and TQ is a total quantity of a liquid filled in the full syringe. |
