The finger protective strip is for door (5) with rotary angle of at least 180 degrees and is co-extruded, comprising two lightly bent, hard, sprung strips (2), hingeable in relation to each other by means of a moulded-on soft plastic strip (3). The wides at their edges evolve into a soft hinged strip transforming into a hard, arrow-shaped cross-section, corresponding with the so-called click strip attached respectively positioned on the door and door jamb (1). Before the finger protective strip is applied, with the door closed, a locating strip is applied to the edge of the door jamb. This strip determines the position of the click strip, so that the consumer is not involved in measurement work. In the closed state, the construction locates rigidly against the door, which presents a neat appearance. The two-sided strip is very strong and normally obviates the use of nails and screws. In particular cases, however, use can be made with advantage of a small recess into the profiled.
