PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for increasing flexibility in using tag information added by a camera on a PC. SOLUTION: In this system, an external apparatus and an imaging apparatus for photographing images are connected, and the imaging apparatus is provided with a recording means for recording an image file with incidental information, a selection means for selecting the image file from the recording means according to the incidental information, a reproducing means for reproducing the selected image file, and a management means for managing a table of the incidental information. The external apparatus is provided with an acquisition means for acquiring the table of the incidental information from the management means, a display means for displaying the acquired table, an editing means for editing the displayed incidental information, and an update means for updating the table to edited incidental information. In the table, first incidental data displayable on the imaging apparatus and second incidental data displayable on the external apparatus can be set, as the incidental information.
