PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powdery detergent composition for clothes which has a low load to environment, has a reduced foamability, and exhibits good detergency performance. SOLUTION: The powdery detergent composition for clothes comprises (A) a specific polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ether, (B) a compound represented by general formula (II) and/or general formula (III), and (C) a copolymer having a constituent unit derived from an acrylic acid monomer and a constituent unit derived from a maleic acid monomer. The total content of the components (B) and (C) is 11 mass% or more. The mixing ratio of the component (B) to the component (C) is 7/3 to 3/7 in mass.
