PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining a metal sheet, which can continuously roll metal sheets having dissimilar widths, and to provide a continuous rolling apparatus. SOLUTION: The width of the tail end of a preceding metal sheet 10 is regulated according to the width of the leading end of a following metal sheet 11. Alternatively, the width of the leading end of a following metal sheet 11 is regulated according to the width of a tail end of a preceding metal sheet 10. Thereby, the tail end of the preceding metal sheet 10 and the leading end of the following metal sheet 11, which are substantially identical to each other in width, can be joined to each other.
