PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting microorganism, capable of quickly and simply detecting microorganisms having proliferation potency and adhered on the subject surface such as a solid surface, an environmental surface and a dermal surface of a human palm or the like. SOLUTION: The method for detecting microorganism having proliferation potency comprises (1) a step for collecting microorganisms on the adhesive surface of an adhesive sheet, (2) a step for culturing the microorganisms on a state contacting the adhesive surface of the sheet after collecting the microorganisms with an agar medium to form a colony, (3) a step for obtaining subject images by imaging with a scanner a laminate comprising the adhesive sheet after formed the colony and the agar medium, and (4) a step for analyzing the subject images to decide the number of colonies.
