<p>A collet head (20), with connection to vacuum and/or compressed air source via pneumatic fitting, for component handling, pick-up using vacuum suction and placement by cutting-off vacuum suction and/or using compressed air, in a pick-and-place machine having a pick-up tool (22) for transferring objects from one location to another in where the collet head (20) includes a body (44) with an extended lip (46); at least one alignment hole (42) disposed at extended Hp (46) of said body (44) for alignment purposes and for preventing rotation of the assembled collet shaft (12); a clamping hole (52) passes vertically through the body (44) of collet head (20); an air passage duct (68) in communication to the clamping hole (52); a substantially vertical slit (48) cutting from front surface (50) of the body (44) to the clamping hole (52); and a substantially horizontal slit (54) cutting from side surface (56) of the body (44) to the said vertical slit (48); wherein the body (44) is divided by the substantially vertical and horizontal slits (48, 54) into three partially separated portions (58, 60, 62); and wherein the portions (58, 60) include a first tightening bore (64) and second tightening bore (66) traverse from side surface (56) to the portion (62) to receive fastening means.</p> |
