The airbag flap (1) has a head airbag cover having a carrier material (2) with a decorative layer (3) arranged above it. A material weakening is introduced to the contour of the flap having a crack initiation (4a) and a crack outlet area (4b). The crack in the outlet area (4b) has a diversion without a sharp transition, and with decreasing material weakening redirected by 90deg to the to the main direction of the extension.
