The plastics container (1) has a container body (2) and an injection molded lid (3), to be assembled and sealed and labeled. The outer surface of the lid carries a label (11) of a plastics film. The label projects over the edge of the lid to the edge (9) of the body. When the body has been filled, the label is bonded to the container edge by hot sealing.
