A variable air bag vent hole device for a vehicle is provided to protect a passenger by adjusting the volume of inflator gas through variable vent holes in the case of vehicle collision between an air bag and the passenger. A variable air bag vent hole device for a vehicle, includes a porous plate(100) and a cap guide unit(200). The porous plate is tightened onto an outer surface of an air bag, and has a plurality of vent holes(110) for discharging gas supplied from an inflator to the outside of the air bag in the case of vehicle collision. The cap guide unit is arranged outside the porous plate, and tightened onto the porous plate so as to prevent leakage of inflator gas prior to inflation of the air bag, and adjusts the volume of discharge of inflator gas through the vent holes when the pressure in the air bag is higher than a threshold value. The cap guide unit has a guide portion(210) protruded upwardly from a center of the cap guide body. The guide portion has an inclined section(212), and a guide ball(216) fixed at an outer center of the porous plate and arranged at one end of a connection pin(214) extended downwardly from the inclined section such that the guide ball is movable in a vertical direction along the inclined section.
