A semiconductor memory device is provided to constitute a more efficient data input circuit part designed to receive various data through one access operation. A first input buffer receives numerous first data inputted continuously. A first data selection part transfers the first data transferred by the input buffer selectively in correspondence to a data input mode. A first data align part aligns the data transferred by the first data selection part. A second input buffer receives numerous second data inputted continuously in correspondence to the data input mode. A second data selection part transfers the output of the first input buffer or the second input buffer selectively according to the data input mode. A second data align part aligns the data transferred by the second data selection part.
