<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor, which is not so large-scaled, for detecting a loosened needle because an accident may occur if a part of the indwelling needle comes out and blood leaks in the artificial dialysis. <P>SOLUTION: The loosened needle detection sensor for the indwelling needle 1 is provided. The loosened needle detection sensor is composed of a light emitting part 6 for applying light to the skin 8, a light receiving part 7 for receiving the reflection light from the skin, and a detection device 11 with a pulsation detecting function based on the intensity of the light received by the light receiving part.
