PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify the reason of difference in image force in the front and at the behind, when a charge carrier body is asymmetric, such as L-shape. SOLUTION: In an asymmetric conductor placed in a parallel electric field, the charge quantity differs between the front side and the rear side, because of the difference in areas. As a result, a difference is produced for the electrostatic force, acting on the front side and the rear side. By making the side surface parallel to the electric field, the electrostatic force acting on the side surface can be offset for each 180°. The best shape of a moving body (charge carrier) is a cup form, of which the area of the front surface is large, while that of the rear surface is small, with the side surface being parallel to the electric field. Electrostatic force will be generated, when an electric field exists, having no electric charge (dielectrophoretic force), when no electric field exists with the same charges (image force); or if both the electric field and electric charges exist (Coulomb force), however, asymmetric form effect will occur in either case.
