PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printing method suitable for high gradation printing, which eliminates warpage or waving (curling) of a recording paper, and retains good print quality for a long time while recording a character or an image on a recording medium, and also to provide a recorder therefor. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder 10 records the character and/or the image on a recording medium P having a hydroxyl group and includes inkjet heads 12 and 14. The ink delivering head 14 delivers a first ink comprising a colorant and a main solvent with a molecular structure not having a hydroxyl group. The ink delivering head 12 delivers a second ink comprising a colorant having a density lower than that of the first ink or no colorant, and a solvent with a molecular structure not having a hydroxyl group. The first ink and the second ink are delivered to an identical position on the recording medium P, and then the tone of the density on the recording medium P is adjusted on a basis as needed.
