PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal avoiding trouble caused by an unstable operating system beforehand even when the operating system becomes unstable. SOLUTION: In the mobile terminal, monitoring threads (1), (2), etc. periodically set corresponding flags of operation status monitoring flags with respect to operation information, and interrupt processing provided with a diagnostic program periodically checks the operation status monitoring flags and informs of abnormality in response to detection of a set flag. The interrupt processing determines the OS to be unstable and saves important information from a RAM 4 to a flash memory 5 and then sends a reset request to the OS and restores the important information to the RAM in response to restart of the OS.
