PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner excellent in offset resistance, (particularly, hot offset resistance) and color developing property of an image. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner contains a pigment present in a tetrahydrofuran insoluble content of a binder resin. The toner is preferably a toner (TA) that is obtained by polymerizing a monomer composition (M<SB>A</SB>) containing a monovinyl monomer, a crosslinking compound containing a macromonomer, and a pigment by suspension polymerization method or the like and that shows a peak area (S<SB>A</SB>) of 50 to 95% with respect to a peak area (S<SB>B</SB>) by the following measurement. The peak area (S<SB>A</SB>) derived from the binder resin is obtained by dissolving the toner (T<SB>A</SB>) in THF, filtering through a specified filter and measuring by GPC. The peak area (S<SB>B</SB>) derived from a binder resin of a reference toner (T<SB>B</SB>) obtained by polymerizing a monomer composition containing no crosslinking compound is obtained by the same method.
