PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head unit assembling method, a head unit assembling apparatus, and a liquid droplet ejection apparatus for accurately mounting a liquid droplet ejection head by stably and accurately mounting a head unit to a head unit mounting part. SOLUTION: The head unit assembling method is employed to form the head unit by positioning and fixing the liquid droplet ejection head on a unit plate 51, and comprises a unit plate setting step of mounting the unit plate 51 to a unit supporting table 110 with the mounting face 51A of the unit plate 51 to a unit fixing part in contact with the unit supporting table 110 of the head unit assembling apparatus, and a position adjustment step of positioning the liquid droplet ejection head at a prescribed position on the unit plate 51 with the unit plate 51 mounted to the unit supporting table 110.
