PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium which can be incinerated and which has high collection efficiency and low pressure loss, and in which dropping of fiber is reduced. SOLUTION: The filter medium containing fiber is obtained from parenchyma cells of plants, and the filter medium at least contains at least one kind of fiber selected from organic and inorganic fibers and fiber obtained from the parenchyma cells of plants. The entire amount of at least one kind of fiber selected from organic and inorganic fibers or a part thereof preferably has fiber of an average fiber diameter of 0.1-5μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
