PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve comfort by optimally adjusting distribution of indoor temperature by enlarging a range of temperature adjustment of the air discharged from an upper supply port and the air discharged from a lower supply port. SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises: a suction port 11 formed on a front face of a housing 10; a heat exchanger 12 disposed inside of the suction port 11; the supply ports 15 formed at both sides of the suction port 11; and a cross flow fan 14 disposed between the heat exchanger 12 and the supply ports 15, and a plurality of air flow channels 18 are formed from the suction port 11 to the supply ports 15. A partitioning plate 21 comprises a deformable sheet 109 as an expanding/contracting portion 24, composed of an expandable and contractible polymer sheet 111 warping and deforming by application of voltage to a front end for adjusting an area for allowing the air to pass through the heat exchanger 12 by every air flow channel 18, and is disposed at a rear portion of the heat exchanger 12, thus the temperature of the upper and lower supply air is adjusted by freely changing the area for allowing the air discharged from each of upper and lower supply ports 15 to pass through the heat exchanger 12.
