PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror device which is not damaged easily even by the impact or vibration during operation, and to provide a user-friendly digital camera having a half mirror arranged in the photography optical path by preventing damage on the half mirror. SOLUTION: The mirror device comprises a half mirror 401 having such characteristics as reflecting a part of the light beam from a movable half mirror 201 which can advance/retract in the optical path of a taking lens and transmitting the remaining part of the light beam, a mirror frame 403 for securing and holding the half mirror 401, and a cushion member 463 or an elastic adhesives 465 arranged between the half mirror 401 and the mirror frame 403 in order to absorb the impact applied to the half mirror 401 through the mirror frame 403.
