PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system, an information processing method and its program, and a storage medium for enabling a user to easily acquire the history information of an external device by which the user has executed processing in the past, without increasing the load of a network. SOLUTION: When a user executes processing in an external device in the past, a portable terminal 180 acquires device specifying information for specifying the external device, and stores it in a memory 183. An MFP 100 acquires the device specification information, stored in the memory 183 of the portable terminal 180 via a portable equipment communication part 170, and a CPU 111 requests transmission of the history information through a Network I/F117 to the external device to be specified by the acquired device specification information.
