PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal by which leaks of information can be prevented even when it is lost by dropping. SOLUTION: Even when an information code reader 10 is dropped by its owner in an unexpected situation and is found by a third party, buffers 18a and 18b are blocked at the time of dropping and communication through a communication part 48 is disabled. In this manner, disguised operations of the information code reader 10 by the third party can be prevented.
