摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material exhibiting more excellent mechanical characteristics by controlling blending components of a nano-crystal metal or alloy since the nano-crystal metal or alloy, which has no gap and is uniform in crystal grain size, can be controlled in composition and grain size to be expected as the material exhibiting the excellent mechanical characteristics,. SOLUTION: In the case of solid-soluting carbon in FCC (face-centered cubic lattice) nano-crystal metal with an electroplating method, the carbon is segregated into the grain boundary and the excellent mechanical characteristics are shown, and further more excellent mechanical characteristics can be obtained by applying the heat-treatment to the FCC nano-crystal metal subjected to solid solution with the carbon. The nano-crystal FCC metal alloy is useful because the alloy can be used to MEMS (micro electro mecanical system), surface coating, cutting tool, semi-conductive device, and parts thereof, or the like.
